The title is intended to be an unambiguous statement of the book's intention. The book starts with the author's definitions, moves on to the importance of Inclusive Leadership for leaders and people managers at every level, whether they're operating globally, nationally, or locally, and in every sector. Readers will:
- better understand the Inclusion, Diversity and Equality agenda (the IDEA), and specifically will be introduced to the IDEA as three different concepts as opposed to a single concept as they are almost always presented
- review and be asked to reflect on some qualities exemplified by Inclusive Leaders and the extent to which they, or their colleagues demonstrated them in their day-to-day behaviours
- be introduced to the Nine Causal Factors of Inclusion – the result of nearly 30 years of action research by the author, which are foundational if people are to feel included.
The publishers describe this Management Pocketbook as a pocketful of tips and techniques on harnessing the power of diversity to maximise team performance and add organisational value. Reviews include; “A great overview, packed with ideas and practical suggestions. At its heart is the idea that everyone is unique and should be treated as such – something that 99 out of 100 organisations need to do more of. Highly recommended."
